From the supplier: The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGA) is set to establish a centralized facility for openly trading shrimp futures contracts. The move was precipitated by increased volume growth over the years of imported cultured shrimp to the US. The MGA futures trading program will act as a 'hedging' mechanism that provides protection against volatile shrimp prices and possible losses stemming from price fluctuations for producers and other groups engaged in shrimp trade trasactions.
